Madrid, Night out and the Strike day

at my friend's place on Gran Via, above a McDonald's. Ready for a night out. We drank from 12 a.m to 7 p.m in San Miguel Market, then continued in a Maya-style pub, then went back prepare for ...the night out. Totally exhausted and home at 4 a.m.

Artsweek Opening night, lol

My first and possibly my only Artsweek in UNSW. I submit works for Lens Life photography competition and SoundProjects recording project and get an invitation to the Opening night in Roundhouse. Feel so excited seeing my photo was chosen to be printed and exhibited. It's kind of a consolidation I guess cuz someone else win the grand prize. It's amazing the winning work is just next to mine. It looks very good but not surprising. So I could say the underneath meaning is the winning point. 

And this is my work: 

"We create our own image"

This year's theme is "Coming together" which is about cultural diversity in campus life. So I decided to send this 'wankie' photo of me and my mates in IAP class.

Description: This photograph was taken by ourselves with an ultra-wide lense during a Sydney Harbour Cruise with SDI on June 2012. We’re all AusAID students from different continents, feeling excited here in UNSW and Sydney. Thank you Australia and UNSW!

Besides, "PostSecret" is another exciting, extremely in fact, activity of Artsweek. People just write down their secret on postcards and put into any post office red box around campus. Finally, the postcards will be picked up and exhibited altogether as an art collection. The effect is clearly high when visitors of Opening nights wander around check out every card and smile or laugh out loud. It's always interesting reading somebody else secret!

I drew quite a huge part of my bank account to buy a Tokina 11-16 mm F/2.8 lense to satisfy my long-time desire of ultra-wide perspective. Made several test shot and would soon show off here.
These below are my favorites shot with that Tokina lense from FlickR that I had searched before buying it. I'm so eager to have my own as amazing shots:

 

 

Arms

Art is still a part of my life. Recently it's been photography and I've got several collections of portrait and fashion. This time I tried to experiment something with "wow" factor. Not perfect yet but here it is:

This is a part of a photo set named "Arms" in which I try to analyze the beauty of ordinary masculine.
I choose to focus on arms because I believe thoses are parts revealing most about a man's masculine, no matter how he looks like and how good other parts of his body are.

Each photo has his own name for its capturing of a certain moment of a man's arm(s)
