For years I have had an insistence in going further into Urban Design, in spite of advices like " c'mon, it's not important which course you take but the degree you have. You just need a master degree!". Well, I'm just a guy who can only do something well when loving it. I once tried applying to a "Social Science" school, but then I stop in the middle, feeling nothing to motivate myself to fulfill all the process, nothing to inspire me to write those SOP/ motivation. Schools that provide urban design program and a full scholarship appeals me the most. I'm not afraid of conditions might cut the scholarship if I don't do well in the course. Most courses now have certain credit for sustainable issues, environment issues and that is really kool to me.
However, recently I've found this new course by NUS. Wow, I could say it is for...ALL who care, architect, urban planner/ urban designer, ... That night, exactly 1 a.m, I had a big change in my applying to graduate schools, a real turn.
The course seems to focus on PRACTICAL issue rather than academic. That's what I have been aiming for. That's the reason why I chose to work in Nagecco. I don't want to be just a paper-master-of-something after a post-graduate course. More reason? Sustainable is still new in this country.
The introduced permanent teaching stafff even has an MIT PhD.
I like this course !
Wish me luck!
