The 2012 Environmental Performance Index
Vietnam's EPI rank is 79, and Trend EPI rank is 73 which means in general, Vietnam's environment is not so bad at all. However, Vietnamese news recently has raised the issue of being in top 10 countries with worst air pollution (ranking 123/132). I read the 2012 EPI but still haven't found a line about that. Maybe only relating people have the data.
In the EPI 2010, Vietnam's rank is 85/163.
To compare, I made a simple calculation:
rank of 2012: 79/132 = (79*163)/(132*163) = 12877/21516
rank of 2010: 85/163 = (85*132)/(163*132) = 11220/21516
So, the rank of 2012 is somehow lower than the rank of 2010.
Not as progressive as it seems.
