It's done! a one-thousand-year ceremony

Yesterday was the last day of the 10-day-long and imposing, notorious to some, ceremony of " Hanoi - 1000 years of Thang Long". The ceremony has received many positive and negative feedbacks on its expense, management and arrangement, especially when a natural disaster concurrently damaged the Middle of Vietnam causing hunger and death.

This morning, I found some articles with photos showing the left-over battlefield of the last ceremony night like these below:

I feel something political in the over-judgements about this ceremony, and I don't really like that. However, as a citizen, it hurts to know how much money they spent on something just appears, shining, and gone forever while people, even in big cities like Hanoi and Saigon, keep groaning everyday dealing with how to make their both ends meet. It hurts to see how our people still react, these photos are the proof, to such a cultural and historical event of the nation.
They are ruining the well-known elegant capital of their own, and my, country, day by day.
When will things change ?
