the Book Fair

The Book Fair is an annual event of the publishing industry in Saigon ( and Hanoi, too ) to which always draw thousands of visitors everyday. People come to read or go shopping for "sale"book or just to enjoy the fair itself. 10% sale for every books is guaranteed by the operators, but visitors can find bigger sale, especially on the last days of the fair. Certainly, the more they buy, the better price they get. This year, Book Fair located in Le Van Tam park.

My friends and I, though invidually had checked out all the kiosks before, still gathered to search again for books. Our most favorite types are design books and foreign languages books, which are usually sold in high prices. And we were not alone, there we met from young students of our old school - HCMC Uni. or Architecture, to some lecturers and professional designers doing quick scanning, spending millions of VND to enrich their personal libraries.

crowded like hell, this is just a small corner of the fair.

for better prices, my friends gather their buying into a shared bill. they also received gifts such as calendars with images of Robert Pattinson and Swimsuit hot girls.

Books are not the only products. There were religious products, stationery, and toys. Some educational organizations also had their large, bright and modern spaces. A cafeteria, exactly any place for visitors to sit and relax and drink or eat something, is of course can not be lack of in every fair. However, our gang moved to Yogen Fruz to sit around small tables and gossip til tired.

Finally, this is an illustration for my notice while in the Book Fair. It was hell to wait at the gate with hundreds of other motorbikes for my turn to enter the parking lot, which is unfortunately the grass surface of the park.
